Can a DNS Hacker take credit card info?

I was recently DNS Hijacked and I'm sure it happened after i bought soomething off of the internet. can they take my Credit Card information and use it? Also these hackers were from Ukraine because I used Commview and the foreign IP address was from Ukraine even when i was offline.
