I am a 44 (I will be 45 in a few months) year old female. I have been experiencing irregular periods and my OB performed a D&C in Sept. It has not helped. In addition, I developed a staph infection after the D&C. My OB feels that a hysterectomy would be best. I am concerned that this will affect me and my husband's life. I mean, will this surgery cause the actual act of to feel differently for me, for him or both? Thank you in advance for your replies. Also, please, any of you who have had this surgery please let me know how long it took for you to heal and how you felt afterward.
